Class Evaluation
1.The things that i like about this class are how we get to use computers. I also like that we get to learn something new everyday.

2.Something i did not like about this class is that its pretty repetitive. It would be better if we did something new.

3.I would recommend to do something new every other day instead of the same thing.

4.I think the highlight in this class would be my website. I really liked how I got to make a website about my favorite team. Getting pictures of them and explain about them.

5. I believe I did do my best in this class. I did all the necessary work that we had to do in order to pass the class and that was one of the main things I had to focus on to get a good grade.

6Yes I do read my life planning and sharpening the saw parts of my journal. From this class I have learned that it is very important to read and write down your goals. Writing down and reading my goals has definitely helped me keep myself together. My life planning journal reminds me what I have do and that I do want to be successful in the future.

7. Yes, I am committed to being a CTR person. I am committed to seeking personal development, because I know that in order to succeed I have to better myself.

10 keys to Personal Power
Key 1: Clarity
Clarity to me means, to have what you want in life already set in your mind and you know what path you have to take in order to get there. Clarity also means to have a good vibe around you, don't have cancerous people around you. Those cancerous people will act like a cloud they will block you from your set goal in life. Try your hardest to avoid these people. Try your hardest to avoid situations that will steer you another direction. The three main reasons people do not have clarity in life is Confusion, Distraction, and Disorganization. Confusion is solved by getting your priorities straight. Distraction is solved by getting better at focusing your attention and not worrying about unnecessary things.

Key 2: Competence
Competence means the ability to do something successfully or efficiently. Competence means the ability to do something successfully or efficiently. This key to me means that every time you do something you have to do it at your very best. On the first day of junior year my English teacher told the class that we had to promise to do our best work in her class. Competence is not only for school or work. It can also be for any hobby or goal you have, when trying to achieve it work your hardest towards that. A quote that I believe is good for competence is
"Good, better, best, never ever rest, until your good is better, and your better is best"

Key 3: Concentration
Concentration means to keep focus on something till you achieve it. You set what you want first and you put everything else aside in the meantime till you get where you want to be. I think its best that you concentrate.

Key 4: Common-Sense
Common Sense means to have good judgement. People often think its better to have knowledge but without common sense your attitude and personality fail. Without common sense you will sometimes even seem dumb to others. Common sense sometimes means to be creative other than using facts and your knowledge. Common sense the ability to learn from experience and then to apply those lessons to other experiences. Common sense is to know something that is very obvious, there is nothing new about it because you have done it before. Lots of people ignore their common sense and do not realize how dumb it makes them look. It is a good thing to have common sense.

Key 5: Curiosity
Curiosity means to explore and be curious To have creativity is a major key because to have creativity can make you unique in any way. Almost every person has something unique about themselves its up to them or yourself to find that uniqueness in you. Once you find that thing that makes you unique its like bringing something new into this world. Being creative requires being passionate and committed. Committed to using that creativeness throughout your life. Whats the point of having something unique about yourself if you are not going to use it.

Key 6: Consideration
To me consideration means being open minded and listening to what others have to say and you try to see there point of view. To have consideration I believe is something that shows you are a good listener. Sometimes having consideration lets you make new relationships with people. Having consideration means to have thought about others. You can be considerate to someone when they are having a tough time in there life that's when people need others the most.

Key 7: Consistency
To be consistent is a very good quality because consistency means to always do something your best and to always keep it that way. A person who is consistent never lowers there capability they always try to do something at there best. They give it their all. A person who is consistent is stable they know what they want and what to do in order to get there. Although consistency is very hard for some people to get hard work and always making sure you try your best to stay consistent will make it much easier in the long run.

Key 8: Commitment
To be Committed means to be dedicated and to stay focused.Commitment is key because if you want something you have to do all things possible to do it. You also stay committed when you joins things such as sports, you have to keep up with grades while, making sure you go to practice everyday. Staying committed means sticking to it and continuing. Being committed to something means you are willing to give it your all, you are loyal to that one thing and you give it all your energy.

Key 9: Courage
To have courage means to not be afraid of failure and like the quote above says being afraid to fail is one of the biggest failures in life. That being because if someone is afraid of failing they usually do not go after what they wanted in the first place. One needs to have courage because without it you will not succeed. If you want to tryout for a sport go for it do not be scared to try, even if you think you will not make it. Passion is the heart of courage it depends how bad you want something, if you are willing to give it your all in order to succeed even knowing that you might not. Ask yourself would you rather go for something knowing that you tried and maybe even possibly succeed at whatever it is, than having to think about what if ? just because you did not at least try and having to live with that the rest of your life.

Key 10: Confidence
Confidence is a very good thing to have because without confidence you do not have courage and without courage you will possibly fail. Confidence is being able to do the things you want and not worrying about anybody else's negative opinions. Self-confidence is extremely important in almost every aspect of our lives. Being willing to take risks and go the extra mile to achieve better things. Good self-confidence also means being able to take compliments for example if somebody says " Hey I have noticed you are looking healthier" and your response " thank you I have been working hard at trying to better myself"

Video: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
The video spoke about how Dr.Covey made the 7 Habits. He talked about how to find yourself and how to find your character and personality. Character ethic and personality ethic. Character ethic depends on deep changes within yourself. Personality ethic is ideas that a person advances on bases of their characteristics. Dr. Covey talks about character development and to make yourself a better person. One way is to  be truthful he uses Gandhi as an example. Gandhi did not help another person because he could not help them if he was doing the same thing. He had to learn and do the same thing himself before he taught someone else.

Free Lance
On Wednesday, November 2 i watched the World Series Finals. It ended with the last two teams. It was the Chicago Cubs vs Cleveland Indians.Ben Zobrist delivered a tiebreaking RBI double in the 10th inning and Miguel Montero tacked on a critical RBI single, as the Cubs held on for an 8-7 rain-delayed victory over the Indians in a classic Game 7 on Wednesday night at Progressive Field. The North Siders became just the sixth team in a best-of-seven World Series to overcome a 3-1 deficit and win the title, the first for the franchise since 1908. The Cubs haven't won a world series title in 108 years.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
Habit #1: Be Proactive
Habit 1 is the key to unlocking all the other habits and that's why it come first. It says, "I am the captain of my life. I can choose my attitude. I am responsible for my own happiness or unhappiness. I am in the driver's seat of my destiny, not just a passenger."
This is a very important habit that applies to all of us. We must take charge of our own life. You can do what you want to desire it is all up to you whether it be your happiness or not. You have the opportunities to change your life and path way. It is all up to you how good you want it to be. Since you can change things in your life and want the best it's to you to stay consistent with it. Its your Life you can possible do whatever you want. It's your Rules on how exactly you want to live. Don't let people tell how to live life in their perspective. You have a life you have your own different mind set so everyone's different.

Habit #2: Begin with the end in Mind
"Control your own destiny or someone else will".
Habit 2 is based on imagination--the ability to envision in your mind what you cannot at present see with your eyes. It is based on the principle that all things are created twice. There is a mental (first) creation, and a physical (second) creation. The physical creation follows the mental, just as a building follows a blueprint. If you don't make a conscious effort to visualize who you are and what you want in life, then you empower other people and circumstances to shape you and your life by default. It's about connecting again with your own uniqueness and then defining the personal, moral, and ethical guidelines within which you can most happily express and fulfill yourself. Begin with the End in Mind means to begin each day, task, or project with a clear vision of your desired direction and destination, and then continue by flexing your proactive muscles to make things happen.

Habit #3: Put First Things First
"Organize and Execute around properties".
Habit 3 is this means that you must put priorities first. Do what is important in the beginning save what is not a priority till last. If you do what is not important in the beginning you will surely regret it. If you call it a "priority" then it is important and you have to set yourself a time to do it. Set up a schedule be time wise. Know how to manage time. It's not only about the present but about life management things like your purpose, values, roles, and priorities.

Habit #4: Think Win-Win
To win-win means to get what you want by being both nice and tough. You are not more of either one. To think win-win makes you somewhat mature it makes you have the courage to speak out and be competitive. Win-Win also means to be fair with other find a compromise for both you and the other person. Then it will be a fair fight or a fair win when both of you know neither one of you put more work into whatever it was you were doing.

Habit #5: Seek First to Understand. Then to be understood
What I believe this means is that you want to look out and learn so you can understand so that then you can be understood. To be highly effective you have to know how to understand people. It's good to have an open mind about people opinions. If you open up your mind you will better have an understanding as into why people think what they think. Most people want to get their points across first. And in doing so, you might ignore the other person completely, pretend that you're listening, and you might not know it but you may be selectively listening which means you're only listening to the parts that you want to listen to.

Habit #7 Sharpen the Saw
I believe the habit of this meaning is too preserve and enhancing the greatest asset you have which is you. It means having a balanced program for self-renewal in the four areas of your life: physical, social, mental, and spiritual.

Reflection:
The 7 Habits are very good for your life they teach you how to make your life better. They teach you how to be prepared for whatever comes your way. The 7 habits not only teach you how to be effective by yourself but also how to be effective with other people. They say to synergize which means to work collaboratively with others. The 7 habits tell you and teach you to prioritize, to put what is most important first. The last thing that really stood out to me was "Begin with the end in mind"  always think about the end when doing something. Think about the end because you must know if whatever you are doing has a good result or bad result.

How to Remember Names

1. Commit

Begin by making a commitment — a conscious decision — to remember people’s names.
Don’t let yourself off easy, blaming a bad memory. Forgetting names is due less to a bad memory than to a lack of application. Tell yourself — because it’s true — that you can remember names if you want to and if you work at it.Before going to a meeting or a party or anywhere you might meet people, remind yourself of your commitment. And recommit yourself: “I will make my best effort to remember the names of the people I meet.”

2. Concentrate

You can only remember what you observe in the first place. If you are distracted or if you aren’t paying attention, you won’t register the person’s name so you can’t possibly remember it. 1. Paying attention to the person’s name when you first hear it. 2. Forming an impression of the person.
Listen to the person’s name. If you miss it or find a few seconds later that you’ve already forgotten it, say “I’m sorry I missed your name. Can you give it to me again?” If you still have trouble with it, say, “I’m sorry, but would you spell that out for me?”
Get a clear, detailed impression of the person. The more vividly you observe people’s physical characteristics, the more likely you are to remember them. Use all of your senses to form the most striking impression possible.

3. Remember

If you are having a hard time remembering the name you can repeat it a couple of times a day so that you can remember it. Repeating it will help you remember the persons name very quickly.

Six Ways To Make People Like You
Rule#1: Become genuinely interested in other people

Some of the reasons in which you need to do to make people like you is talking to other people and get to know them. You maybe have a lot in common with the people that you least expect. The more people you become interested is going to be the more people who are going to like you. Most of the time people will usually be interested in talking to you as well because they are trying to make people like them as well so you can be confident.

Rule#2: Smile
Some of the reasons in which you need to do to make people to like you is always have a smile on your face. A reason for this is because that shows a lot about your personality. For Example if you walk up to someone and you start the conversation with a smile they are going to want to keep on talking to you. Another reason is if someone is having a bad day you can cheer them up just by smiling at them. That person. even if they are in a really bad mood will lighten up because of your smile.

Rule#3: Remember Names
I think this is one of the best things to do so you can make people like you. For example if someone new that you talked to comes up to you and starts a conversation and you dont know their name they are not going to want to talk to you again. On the other hand if you remember the persons name when they come up to talk to you and you greet them with their name they will feel good. They would want to keep on talking to you.

Rule#4:Be a good listener
This is also one of the best things that you can do to make people like you. Sometimes people want to talk about themselves and express themselves so sometimes its good to open up and listen to what some people have to say. Sometimes you might want to tell someone about your life and all the amazing things you have done. Its always best to let the other person have to chance to tell you something about themselves.

Rule#5: Talk in terms of the other mans interest
This is a good rule. One of the reasons i believe this is because its good to talk about something that the person will want to talk about not something that they dont or that they feel uncomfortable with. Its always good to ask them first because if you start talking to them about something that they don't want to talk about they probably wont want to talk to you again. A good conversation will usually start from a topic that interests both of you

Rule#6: Make the other person feel important-and do it sincerely
Show your admiration:towards the other person. Show them that you care about them. If you tell them how much they mean to you they will really like you. Show them appreciation. Even if they haven't done anything to make you appreciate them appreciate that they have been with you. You can tell them that you appreciate them fo the smallest thing. Pay attention to them. This is another way that you can make them feel important because it will show them that you care.

Reflection:
The way that i can apply these 6 rules is by doing these things on a daily basis so that it can help to make other people like you. In order for people to like me, I will do these six ways listed by Dale Carnegie. This six ways are the gateway for people to like you. For me the most important ones and the ones I'll imply the most is to become more interest in the person than myself, smile, and remember their names. Every time I approach someone new I will make sure I smile so the person doesn't feel scared. A smile shows that you are friendlier and more approachable. The next important way for me to make people like me is to become genuinely interested in others. Doing this will show that you are trying to get to know that person and make a new friend. Lastly, for people to like, I would make sure I remember their names. By remembering their names this will show to the person that I payed attention.
